When you think of exactly what the concept of an ideal coffee maker can you think of one that cost hundreds of dollars? What does one think of when you think of the perfect cup of coffee? To me the idea of a coffee maker that is free seems best because its – well, free. Cease and ask yourself what coffee pot that is $500 may do for you that a coffee pot that is more affordable free cannot do? You replied; nothing.
I have seen hundreds of coffee maker prices and coffee pots that I just cannot comprehend. The concept of a coffee pot costing hundreds of dollars to me only looks foolish. Do not get me wrong I understand that art of a classic gaggia brera espresso machine with all the bells and whistles. As it enables the coffee to become silky smooth, I also comprehend the style of a french press coffee maker. What I could never figure out is why someone would purchase a coffee maker that costs hundreds of dollars outside the forte pots. I mean what can an expensive coffee maker that is standard do that a standard coffee maker that is free could not?
The theory has existed for a long time, mark up sells. You may be asking, what do I mean? It’s a perceived worth just it. It’s thought that the free coffee maker has to be affordable and worthless. The belief also holds true that better coffee is made by an expensive coffee maker. Again barring forte coffee makers, a coffee maker is just a coffee maker. Whether neither free nor paid they both would get the exact same results. You pour the coffee to the coffee pot brew the coffee as there isn’t any difference and add water.
