Java is a programming language developed by Sun in 1995. It’s made to be platform independent. What this means is that the same application can run regardless of whether you use Windows, MacOS, Linux or a mobile phone. To do this there has to be a NetBeans installed on the system where the application should run. Java enables you to write applications without needing to venture out and purchase something. It just needs some time and patience.
It is possible to get started with programming Java programs without buying any software. Just as HTML may be written in a simple text editor like notepad in Windows, you may also write Java programs. It only requires you to change the suffix on the file extension from Txt to Java.
The preceding little application might be one of the most straightforward you are able to make. It prints out the text “Hello World”.
